Titus Naikuni

Chairman of the Board, Prudential Life Assurance Kenya Ltd

Titus Naikuni was appointed the Chairman of the Prudential Kenya Board in February 2016.

He has held senior leadership roles in Kenya for more than two decades. He started his career as an engineer with the Magadi Soda Company and became Managing Director in 1995. He became Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Transport and Communication in 1999 and was Chief Executive of Kenya Airways between 2003 and 2014.

His directorships include being Chairman of Airtel Kenya, Rift Valley Railways (Kenya) and Rift Valley Railways (Uganda), and Deputy Chairman of Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited. He is also Chancellor of South Eastern Kenya University. Mr. Naikuni holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Nairobi.


Dr Matt Lilley

CEO Africa, Prudential plc

Dr. Matt Lilley is CEO Africa at Prudential plc, leading the building of Prudential’s business across the continent. He has been at Prudential for five years, and was previously Director of Strategy, responsible for strategic planning, business development and M&A across the Group. Matt previously worked at Boston Consulting Group and Lehman Brothers and has a BA in Maths and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University.


Andrew Greenwood

COO, Prudential Africa and acting CEO, Prudential Life Assurance Kenya Ltd

Andrew Greenwood was appointed the Chief Operating Officer for Prudential Africa in July 2015 and became acting CEO for Prudential Life Assurance Kenya in November 2015.

He has 25 years of insurance industry experience across East, West and Central Africa. Previously, Andrew was the Managing Director of Metropolitan Cannon Life Assurance Limited and, prior to that, served as Chief Executive of Pan Africa Insurance Holdings Limited before becoming Chief Operating Officer of FBN Life Insurance in Nigeria.

He studied accountancy at the University of Cape Town. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.


Arjun Mallik

Director, Prudential Life Assurance Kenya Ltd

Arjun Mallik is currently the CEO of Prudential Assurance Uganda Limited and has extensive experience in the Prudential Malaysia and U.K. markets. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree and has previously worked as Head of Strategy for Prudential Africa, supporting the development of Prudential’s Africa footprint while ensuring sustainable growth in existing markets, before taking up the appointment in Uganda.


Mahesh Acharya

Director, Prudential Life Assurance Kenya Ltd

Mahesh Acharya is currently a Partner with Kaplan & Stratton Advocates, responsible for joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, privatizations, capital markets, intellectual property, international & cross-border transactions.

Mahesh holds Kenya School of Law, bar qualifications, an LLB and a degree in Political Science both from the University of Nagpur. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, International Bar Association, Law Society of England & Wales and the International Trade Mark Association.


Alice Owuor

Non-Executive Director of the Board, Prudential Life Assurance Kenya Ltd

Alice Owuor was appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Prudential Kenya Board in June 2017.

She has served for more than 30 years in all critical areas of tax administration and management with the most recent role being the Commissioner of Domestic Taxes Department at Kenya Revenue Authority.

She currently serves as Non-Executive Director for the Centre for Corporate Governance, Bamburi Cement Ltd and Moving the Goalposts. She was previously the Board Chairperson and is a Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management. She holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management from Moi University and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Nairobi.


Caroline Okong’o

Non-Executive Director of the Board, Prudential Life Assurance Kenya Ltd

Caroline Okong’o has over 20 years’ experience in finance, risk, audit, strategy development, and implementation support.

She has worked for over 20 years locally and internationally in top tier consulting and insurance firms. She has held leadership roles in various organizations which include Director at Lattice Consulting Limited, Assistant Vice President at Willis Management (Bermuda), and Senior Manager at Deloitte where she worked in both East Africa and Bermuda.

Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts in Building Economics from the University of Nairobi, is a CPA (K) member of ICPAK, and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation. She runs an advisory consulting and coaching practice

Caroline is an Independent Non-Executive Board Member at KCB Kenya, Board Member and Vice-Chairman to the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya, and a Non-Executive Board Member of WWF Kenya.
